How To Make Frozen S’mores?

A Frozen s’more is a campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of one or more toasted marshmallows and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker. Frozen s’mores are a refreshing frozen treat made with a combination of chocolate pudding, whipped topping, cream cheese, and marshmallow fluff layered between graham crackers!

Frozen S’mores Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups marshmallow fluff or marshmallow cream
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips melted
  • 1/4 cup milk

Frozen S’mores Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form an even layer. Place the dish in the freezer to set while you prepare the filling.

Make the Marshmallow Layer:

  • In a large bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Spread half of the marshmallow mixture over the chilled graham cracker crust. Place the dish back in the freezer to set for about 30 minutes.

Add the Chocolate Layer:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips and milk.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  • Allow the chocolate mixture to cool slightly, then spread it evenly over the marshmallow layer. Place the dish back in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

Top with Remaining Marshmallow Layer:

  • Spread the remaining half of the marshmallow mixture over the chocolate layer, smoothing it out evenly.
  • Place the dish back in the freezer and let it set for at least 2 hours or until firm.

Serve:

  • Once the frozen s’mores are fully set, remove the dish from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
  • Cut into squares using a sharp knife.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For an Extra Crunch: Add a layer of crushed graham crackers between the marshmallow and chocolate layers.
  • For a Dark Chocolate Version: Substitute milk chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips.
  • Storage: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.

Frozen s’mores are a refreshing and delightful twist on the classic campfire treat, perfect for hot summer days or anytime you crave a sweet, cool dessert. Enjoy!
